Our Services
Our services in cooperation with Kosovo Customs
Counterfeit and pirated goods pose a risk to consumers, harm fair competition, and infringe intellectual property rights. Through our cooperation with Kosovo Customs, we support you in protecting your trademarks and your rights at the border and in the market.
What we do for you
Trademark registration
We handle your trademark protection from the ground up — preliminary availability searches, correct class selection, filing with the Kosovo Industrial Property Agency (API), and obtaining the registration certificate.
Customs applications for action
We prepare and file applications for the detention of goods suspected of counterfeiting with Kosovo Customs, complete with all required legal documentation and authentic goods identification criteria.
Representation before Customs
We assist you in all procedures and communication with customs authorities — from filing the application, inspecting detained goods, to closing the case.
Market and border monitoring
We track infringement cases in the domestic market and at border crossings, report counterfeit and pirated goods, and activate the legal mechanisms to stop them.
Legal advisory for protection
Specialist advice on your rights as a trademark holder and the necessary legal steps — cease-and-desist letters, oppositions, civil actions, and institutional coordination.
Interinstitutional cooperation
Ongoing coordination with Kosovo Customs, the Industrial Property Agency, and relevant institutions to strengthen the protection of your trademark at every level.
Protect your brand. Protect your business. Protect the market.
Through border controls and enforcement measures, Kosovo Customs contributes to protecting consumers, legitimate businesses, and the market of the Republic of Kosovo from counterfeit and pirated goods. As a licensed industrial property agency, we are your link to this protection system — from trademark registration to the destruction of counterfeits.
Complete protection requires more than a certificate: it requires continuous monitoring, accurate documentation, and coordination with institutions. That is exactly what we offer — a full partnership for the protection of your trademark at every stage.

Frequently asked questions
What services do you offer in cooperation with Kosovo Customs?
We offer trademark registration, customs applications for action, representation before customs authorities, market monitoring, legal advisory, and institutional coordination — a complete protection package from registration to border seizure of counterfeits.
Do I need a registered trademark to use these services?
Not necessarily — if your mark is not yet registered, the first step is registration with the API, which we handle for you. Customs measures do require a valid registration, but we support you through the entire process from the start.
How is a counterfeiting case reported?
Contact us with the details of the case — product, location, photographic evidence. We assess the legal basis, prepare the report for Customs or the relevant institutions, and follow the procedure through to closure.
Do you also serve small and medium-sized businesses?
Yes. Border trademark protection is not only for large corporations — SMEs are often more exposed to counterfeiting, because a single infringement case can significantly damage their reputation and revenue.
How long does it take to set up full customs protection?
If the trademark is registered, preparing the customs file takes a few days. Approval by Customs depends on the completeness of the documentation — with a correctly prepared file, the procedure moves quickly.
